You're the perfect candidate for this itinerary trip if:
- you've worn snowshoes before!
- you can hike for more than 4 hours with a 650-meter elevation gain
- you love adventure
- you're comfortable carrying gear while hiking
The itineraries are aimed at people who have already done a day's snowshoeing and who are able to walk with a rucksack for their overnight gear.
The route of the hike is subject to change depending on snow conditions and safety considerations.
Day 1
Day 1 - First day's walk from Val d'Isère to the Fond des Fours hut.
Departure from our Evolution 2 office in Tignes or Val d’Isère at 1:00 p.m.; welcome and overview of the hike; getting to know the group.
Enjoy a gradual ascent through snow-covered landscapes. Guided by our hike leaders, come and savor the magic of the mountains.
After several hours of hiking, you’ll arrive at the welcoming and cozy Fond des Fours mountain hut. Share a convivial evening surrounded by nature.
Fall asleep, warm and cozy, at an altitude of over 2,500 meters.
Day 2
Day 2 - Second day towards a high summit of the Vanoise: depending on the conditions, La pointe des Lorès South or Pointe de la Bézin.
After a refreshing breakfast, you’ll begin your descent.
Discover a new perspective on the snow-covered landscape. Admire the surrounding peaks and keep an eye out for wildlife tracks. Two routes are possible (depending on conditions): Pointe de Lorès Sud or Pointe de la Bézin.
Arrival at the end of the day in Val d’Isère or Tignes.
