⛺ THE ITINERARIES – 2 days / 1 night ski touring
These mini-expeditions are designed for skiers who have already experienced single-day ski touring and wish to go one step further with an immersive overnight stay in a high-mountain refuge.
➡️ Tour of the Grande Casse
The Tour de la Grande Casse, the iconic 3,855-m peak of the Vanoise, is an unforgettable alpine experience. Over the two days, you will be moving between majestic glaciers, panoramic passes, and long wild descents.
This tour offers a complete immersion in a breathtaking environment: a true high-mountain atmosphere, the feeling of entering the heart of the mountains, and an unforgettable sunset from the refuge.
The route of the hike is subject to change depending on snow conditions and safety considerations.

Beyond the beauty of the landscapes, ski touring in Tignes also gives you the chance to observe unique local wildlife, including chamois, often spotted hiding in the forests along the routes.
Day 1
The hike begins in Tignes, heading toward the Vanoise and Grande Casse areas.
The route gradually immerses us in a high-mountain environment. We cross alpine pastures and high-altitude valleys, with magnificent panoramic views of the iconic peaks of the Vanoise. As the day progresses, the Grande Casse gradually comes into view, dominating the landscape with its imposing glacial face.
The hike continues along the trails of the Grande Casse loop, in the heart of a particularly wild setting. We then head to our mountain hut for the night, where we enjoy some rest after this first day.
The evening at the refuge offers a chance to share a friendly moment and fully enjoy the unique atmosphere of the mountains.
🌙 Night: Half-board refuge
Day 2
After breakfast, we resume our route to continue the Tour de la Grande Casse.
This second day allows us to discover new panoramic views of the Grande Casse and the surrounding peaks. The route alternates between high-altitude sections, wild valleys, and glacial landscapes, offering a true immersion in the world of high mountains.
As the day progresses, we gradually leave the high-altitude areas behind and return to the landscapes surrounding Tignes, the end point of our trek.
Our arrival in Tignes marks the end of these two days of hiking, rich in discoveries and beautiful panoramic views.
