⛺ THE ITINERARIES
These mini-expeditions are designed for skiers who have already experienced single-day ski touring and wish to go one step further with an immersive overnight stay in a high-mountain refuge.
➡️ Prariond Expedition – 2-day / 1-night ski touring trip
The Prariond Expedition (2,324 m), perched above Val d’Isère, is a complete alpine traverse, perfect for experiencing the magic of multi-day ski touring. A spectacular setting surrounded by major peaks: Grande Sassière, Tsanteleina, Ouille Noire… all within a wild, unspoiled atmosphere.
The route of the hike is subject to change depending on snow conditions and safety considerations.

With this ski touring overnight adventure you will experience the mountains in their most authentic, raw, and magical form. An adventure that leaves a mark : a memory that lasts.

Beyond the beauty of the landscapes, ski touring in Tignes also gives you the chance to observe unique local wildlife, including chamois, often spotted hiding in the forests along the routes.
Day 1
The hike begins in Tignes, heading toward the Haute-Isère Valley and the Prariond area. The route gradually takes us into an increasingly wild environment, amid alpine pastures, mountain streams, and majestic peaks.
As we hike, we’ll discover the characteristic landscapes of the Vanoise, and we may even be lucky enough to spot some alpine wildlife. The ascent continues to the Prariond Refuge, situated in an exceptional setting at the foot of glaciers and towering peaks.
After arriving at the refuge, we’ll settle in and take some time to rest. The evening is a chance to fully enjoy the refuge’s warm atmosphere and the tranquility of the mountains.

Day 2
After breakfast, we resume our hike for a second day through the wild landscapes of the Vanoise.
The route offers a chance to discover another side of the Prariond area, featuring high-altitude valleys, glacial landscapes, and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The hike gradually descends toward the valley before reaching the Tignes area, the end point of this trek.
This second day brings to a close a wonderful mountain experience, combining hiking, exploring the high mountains, and a night in a mountain hut.
