It has become the obligatory event of the European film festival of Les Arcs: the animations supervised by Evolution2. For more than 10 years, Evolution2 Les Arcs has been the privileged and historic partner of outdoor activities. And this 16th edition confirms the enthusiasm of the actors of the film and music industry for these "highlights".
The week begins with the now unmissable ski-cup, slalom race. More than 30 people at the start, and at the end it is almost always Pierre Emmanuel Fleurantin, co-founder of the festival and local boy, who wins the round. Novices, experts, all the participants at the start have fun on this little slalom on the private slope for the occasion.
That same evening, after a little musical entertainment on the summits, near Varet, it is time to go back down. What could be better than a torchlight descent to reach the village of Arc 1950. This time, around fifty people take part in the entertainment, by torchlight.
Wednesday is sledding. This new, reworked edition of the sledding is a huge success. More than 200 people come one after the other throughout the evening to try out the snake gliss, articulated sleds linked together and steered by an instructor, or the more traditional Canadian sled. While waiting, a music session with an aperitif atmosphere is planned.
The week of activities ends on Thursday with the traditional revisited biathlon. Nearly 50 brave souls braved the not always easy weather conditions to try their hand at laser biathlon, after a short course in the snow, wearing snowshoes.
