As part of a corporate event, our client Marion contacted us to organize a unique team-building activity.
This wasn't their first seminar; they had already tried several activities and wanted a different team-building activity this time. The employees included all types of personalities: athletes, those not at all athletic, intellectuals who didn't want to get their hands dirty, and those ready to do anything to win!
We quickly realized that the goal of this corporate seminar was to foster cohesion, creativity, and communication through collaborative challenges, but above all, to create a unifying activity.
The Evolution 2 Lacanau team proposed a fun and unusual activity: the Cardboard Regatta! The meeting point was chosen to offer them a seminar location surrounded by nature.
The participants arrived early in the afternoon at the magnificent Pointe du Tedey beach, located on the shores of the lake of Lacanau. After a brief briefing on how the afternoon would unfold, each team was given a construction plan and gold coins. Then it was time to build the cardboard boats. Everyone went to their booth, analyzed the plans, cut them out, and unrolled tape.
The idea was to make the most beautiful or fun boat, so the team members took turns going to the Crazy Shop to buy colored paper, rolls of tape, and markers, with the goal of winning the prize for the most beautiful boat! When the team ran out of gold coins, they had two choices: answer questions in a nautical quiz or take on the giant catapult challenge or the obstacle course.
The atmosphere was great; people were laughing, teasing each other, and stealing tools, but always with kindness and laughter!
The fact that Evolution 2 Lacanau offers a tailor-made, creative outdoor team building event, featuring a fun activity as well as a team challenge, was a huge success. Team spirit was strengthened.
