Al Ed

Noe was relaxed and confident, immediately putting me and my daughter at ease, neither of us had climbed before. Pretty quickly we were in the safety harnesses and after clear instruction on making a knott, we were doing our first climb.

Noe was very patient with my daughter, showing her how the equipment worked and involving her in the belaying, ensuring she was always engaged. When my daughter had become comfortable with the route he skillfully added complexity to keep my daughter focused, at one point we were climbing with blindfolds on, getting all the way to the top!

We both walked away from the experience feeling like we had really enjoyed the climbing and I am very grateful to Noe for his fantastic teaching style and creating such a fun session.

Your questions

What happens if the weather is bad on the scheduled day?
In the mountains, the weather can change quickly. That's why your mountain guide in Chamonix is in the best position to decide whether conditions are suitable for setting off. The advantage of our package is that, even before the day of the trip, you will have discussed backup plans with your guide. As a result, even if the weather turns bad, there is always an alternative route or activity that will allow you to enjoy a wonderful experience.

Is it possible to arrange a pick-up or transport to the starting point?
Yes, we can arrange transport to the starting point of your high mountain outing in Chamonix. This saves you from having to deal with logistics and allows you to arrive relaxed and ready to enjoy your mountaineering or glacier hiking adventure to the fullest.

What level of physical and technical ability is required for a high mountain outing?
You don't need to be an athlete or an experienced mountaineer to enjoy a high mountain outing in Chamonix. Your guide will adapt the program to your fitness level and preferences, whether you are a beginner or more experienced. The idea is to progress at your own pace, day by day. Of course, being in good physical shape helps you to fully enjoy the scenery and the effort, but we design the experience to be accessible and enjoyable.

How does the contact with the guide work before the outing?
As soon as your booking is confirmed, we will forward your contact details to your mountain guide in Chamonix. He will call you to discuss your preferences, your level, and what you would like to discover. This initial exchange is important: it allows us to work together to create a tailor-made outing, combining your objectives with the expertise of the guide.

What is the minimum age for high mountain excursions?
There is no strict minimum age for high mountain excursions in Chamonix. What matters is having the right equipment. For example, to wear crampons, you need to be at least a size 36 (Uk size : 3,5), which excludes very young children. For the rest, the guide always adjusts the outing according to the age, size, and experience of the participants, so that everyone feels comfortable.
