Customized collaboration for a unique seminar !

For several years now, Evolution 2 La Rosière has had the pleasure of working with Aktid to organize their annual seminar. This relationship of trust, founded on our ability to offer tailor-made experiences (incentive, team building...), drives us to innovate every year to meet the specific expectations of our customers.

Our aim is to create seminars that unite and leave a lasting impression. To achieve this, we work closely with a designated member of the Aktid team. This year, their request was different from previous ones: they wanted a fun and playful Team Building, but with a strong team-building dimension. Gone were the classic mini-games! The challenge was set, and we were ready to meet it.

To meet this original request, our team came up with a totally new activity: a soapbox race. This concept, both entertaining and collaborative, enabled Aktid employees to work together in a relaxed yet stimulating atmosphere.

As we don't do things by halves, a new Team Building means a new meeting place and a new station! The challenge seems to have been met! Discover the details of this unique day in the shoes of an employee !

Departure into the unknown !

It's Friday morning, and as the coach pulls away from Chambéry, we pass through Albertville, then Moutiers, and finally Bourg-Saint-Maurice. In my head, everything seems clear: “Great, we're going back to last year's resort, near the Col du Petit Saint-Bernard”. But as I mentally prepare myself to return to familiar surroundings, total surprise: the coach doesn't take the expected route.

At that very moment, our manager shares an intriguing video with us, but without revealing the program. Where are we going? And above all, what have they cooked up for us this time? Lost in my thoughts and suppositions, I watch the landscape roll by until we arrive... in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise.

The adventure begins in Sainte-Foy-en-Tarentaise !

It's 11:30 when we step off the coach. The resort, still unknown to me, is already revealing all its charm: small, warm and perfectly nestled in the heart of the Tarentaise region of Savoie. After a quick trip to the residence to drop off our belongings in our apartments, we put on more appropriate footwear and set off for our first appointment.

We headed for Les Moulinettes, a bistro ideally located: right on the slopes, in the sun, and only a five-minute walk from our accommodation. On arrival, we discover a generous and refined buffet: savory appetizers, gourmet desserts, a variety of beverages... everything we need for a convivial start to the day. For a good hour and a half, we take the opportunity to chat, laugh and exchange ideas. The atmosphere is already relaxed, but excitement is building: what's in store for the afternoon ?

The challenge begin s!

The Evolution 2 La Rosière team now takes to the stage. They explain what happens next: a first challenge in the form of a team questionnaire. What's at stake? The more correctly we answer, the better our team will be ranked, giving us a serious advantage for the main activity.

The questions are varied : general knowledge, logic, and a few surprises that test our team spirit. After a moment of intense reflection and lively debate, our team is ranked third. Not bad at all, even if we would have preferred first place. Fortunately, this ranking still gives us bonuses for the rest of the competition!

What's it like ? Did you say : soapbox racing ?

The big moment arrives: building and racing soapboxes. This unique activity is a perfect blend of creativity, collaboration and fun. Thanks to our ranking in the quiz, we have a slight advantage: more time to build our car and a strategic choice of materials.

We have 40 minutes to build our sliding machine, and our coach Julien is part of the Evolution 2 team! He'll advise us on the design and give us pointers on race strategy! Who will be the pilot? Who will be the co-pilot? What trajectories should we take to gain speed? How do we present our sliding machine to the juries? Between the laughter and the moments of concentration, there's a live band to liven things up! We're designing a soapbox that we think has what it takes to win!

Speed, creativity and suspense

The gong rings! Scissors, cardboard, string: everything is in place. The moment of truth approaches. We head for the jury, accompanied by Julien, to present our work. Each team takes its turn. Our machine, proud of its improvised lines, is graded on aesthetics. The result: one 8/10 and two 9/10. Not bad for a first attempt!

We then take our places on the carpet for the descent. A final strategy briefing: reading trajectories, positioning and encouragement. The countdown begins:
3, 2, 1... here we go!

To the cheers of the other teams and the rhythms of the live band, we launch our car down the slope. One bend follows another, the tension is at its highest, and in a flash we cross the finish line. Time: 38 seconds!

Now it's time to cheer on the other teams! The atmosphere is fantastic! Everyone's giving it their all! Which team will be the winner? The answer in a few minutes...

Medal time !

The top three teams were called up to the enthusiastic applause of the audience. The purple team came third, with our team in second place. It was the orange team who took the trophy! We climbed the steps with great pride in the festive atmosphere! It was like being at the heart of a Formula 1 racetrack.

And as tradition would have it, the celebration ended in style with a well-deserved shower of champagne ! 🍾

The end of an emotional day !

To round off the day, the “Les Moulinettes” restaurant awaited us with sweets, before the festive evening began at the same venue.
