Talloires

The diving school

Created in 1991, the historic Talloires base allows you to discover the lake beneath the surface supervised by a team of passionate professionals.

You will find cozy premises of 40m2, completely renovated in a wooden atmosphere of a mountain chalet.

Our large 30m2 wooden terrace under tent and its chill zone invites you to enjoy the view and the setting sun for after-diving.

Diving in Lake Annecy: wreck of the France, fauna and flora

Diving in Lake Annecy: wreck of the France, fauna and flora

Classified among the most beautiful freshwater wrecks, the wreck of the France rests on a depth of 42 meters and is accessible from Level 2.

A little history…

The France was launched in 1909.
A magnificent paddlewheel steamboat, it measures 47 meters long and develops a power of 400 HP. It can carry 700 passengers.

In 1962 it had to be decommissioned and demolished, but it was bought by the director of the Bateaux Mouches de Paris to make it a second home. It remained at its anchorage until the morning of March 13, 1971, when it disappeared. The reasons for its sinking have never been explained.
