A dog sled ride in the heart of the Alps

Fancy experiencing the mountains in a different way? Set off on a dog sled ride in La Rosière and enjoy a unique experience amidst the snow-covered landscapes of Savoie.

Sled capacity: A sled can accommodate up to 4 people (including a maximum of 2 adults) and a maximum total weight of 180 kg.

2 people: 2 adults or 1 adult + 1 child
3 people: 2 adults + 1 child or 1 adult + 2 children
4 people: 2 adults + 2 children or 1 adult + 3 children

⚠️ It is not possible for 3 adults to ride in the same sledge, as it would be too cramped.

The composition of the sled can be adjusted according to the age, height and weight of the participants. The musher may change the seating arrangement if necessary to ensure everyone’s safety.

What you need to know before booking:

- Only one dog team is available. If you wish to book several sleds, simply choose consecutive time slots, subject to availability.

- Your booked time slot may be subject to change. Times may be adjusted to ensure the dogs’ welfare, suitable conditions for the activity and everyone’s safety.

- Not enough snow? Depending on conditions, the dog sled ride may be replaced by a cani-kart experience.

Conditions of participation

This activity is suitable for children aged 2 and over.
Children in baby carriers are not permitted.
Pregnant women may not take part in this activity.
People with medical conditions (such as a sprain, using crutches, in a plaster cast, or with a prosthesis) or with a disability may be permitted to take part subject to certain conditions and by prior request only, depending on their individual circumstances and any potential medical risks.
Please make sure you arrive on time for the sleigh ride. Any delay will mean that the activity is cut short, so as not to run over into the next sessions.

Equipment

Ski wear and après-ski clothing are compulsory.
Ski boots are not suitable for this activity.
A hat and gloves are recommended.
A face mask or sunglasses are recommended.

Snow conditions

This activity is subject to snow conditions. If there is insufficient snow, the dog sled ride may be replaced by a cani-kart activity, depending on conditions and the provider’s availability.

Animal welfare

We are, above all, committed to respecting nature and animals; this activity may be cancelled depending on the weather conditions and the dogs’ health.

From what age can you go on a dog sled ride?

The ride is suitable for children aged 2 and over. Children in baby carriers are not permitted.

How many people can fit on a sledge?

Depending on the group’s composition, a sledge can accommodate between 1 and 4 people, subject to weight, age and height restrictions.

Can four adults fit on one sledge?

No. A sledge can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children. Groups of three or four adults cannot be seated together on the same sledge.

What is the maximum weight per sledge?

The total weight must not exceed 180 kg per sledge. The height and age of participants may also affect the composition of the sledge.

What should you bring for the ride?

Bring warm ski clothing, après-ski boots, a hat and gloves. Ski boots are not suitable. A face mask or sunglasses are also recommended.

What happens if there isn’t enough snow?

Depending on conditions, the dog sled ride may be replaced by a cani-kart activity.

Can pregnant women take part?

No, this activity is not suitable for pregnant women.

Can people with a disability or injury take part?
