A Paret is a traditional Alpine sled, consisting of a wooden seat mounted on a single runner. Once used by mountain villagers to get around on the snow, it has now become a fun and unique winter activity.
How do you ride a Paret?
Sitting on the Paret, you control the sled using your feet and body movements. After a few instructions, you’ll quickly get the hang of this fun way of gliding down the snow.
Do I need to know how to ski to ride a Paret?
No, you don’t need to know how to ski. Paret riding is accessible to anyone looking to enjoy the snow in a different way. An introduction is provided to teach you the basics before you set off.
What age can you ride a Paret from?
The activity is available from age 10.
Is the equipment provided?
The Paret is provided as part of the activity. Please wear your usual ski clothing and suitable snow footwear. ⚠️ A helmet is mandatory!
