❓Everything you need to know about these work placements

Want to leave the pistes behind and discover some of the best off-piste terrain in Sainte-Foy? Evolution 2 freeride courses give you the opportunity to explore the off-piste routes of Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, accompanied by an instructor who knows the ski area and its terrain inside out.

Two courses, one goal: make the most of freeride skiing

Adult Freeride Course :

The adult freeride course is designed for strong skiers who are already comfortable off-piste and want to take their skiing further.

Accompanied by an Evolution 2 instructor, you will explore different types of terrain and off-piste routes around Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise while working on your technique in ungroomed snow. The course is also open to snowboarders with good off-piste skills.

A great opportunity to discover new areas, refine your lines and make the most of the day's conditions without having to plan your own route.

Teen Freeride Course :

The teen freeride course is designed for young skiers who have completed the required Junior Academy levels and are already comfortable skiing off-piste.

Accompanied by an Evolution 2 instructor, teenagers will progressively discover new terrain and develop their skills and independence in the mountains: technique, terrain awareness, line choice and adapting to changing conditions.

An ideal format for experienced young skiers who want to continue improving their freeride skills while discovering what Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise has to offer.

DVA Training – Learn the Right Off-Piste Safety Skills

Before heading out to explore off-piste terrain, take the time to practise using a DVA (avalanche transceiver) during a 3-hour group session on Sunday afternoon.

Accompanied by an Evolution 2 instructor, you will learn how to use your safety equipment and practise the different stages of a DVA search through hands-on exercises.

This session is open to skiers who want to familiarise themselves with their safety equipment, refresh their safety skills and build confidence before heading off-piste.

Routes are adapted to the group's level and to the snow and weather conditions on the day.
