A dog sledding experience in the Alps
Discover the thrill of dog sledding in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise and enjoy a break amidst the snow-covered landscapes of Savoie.
Comfortably seated in the sledge, you’ll set off to explore the mountains accompanied by a professional musher and their team of Nordic dogs. Before setting off, take the time to get to know the dogs and learn more about their daily lives and their role in the team.
What’s on the programme for this outing
👨👩👧👦 How many people can fit in a sleigh?
Each sledge can accommodate up to 4 people, subject to a limit of 2 adults and a total weight of 180 kg.
The possible combinations are as follows:
⚠️ It is not possible to fit 3 adults in the same sledge, as there is not enough space to ensure comfort and safety.
The musher may adjust the seating arrangement depending on each passenger’s age, height and weight.
ℹ️ Some information you should know
Only one dog team is available. If you wish to book for several people or several groups, please remember to select consecutive time slots, subject to availability.
The times shown at the time of booking are subject to change by the musher. These adjustments may be necessary depending on the conditions on the ground, the weather or the dogs’ wellbeing.
🌨️ What if snow conditions prevent the trip from going ahead?
The mountains can sometimes throw up a few surprises! If there isn’t enough snow for a sleigh ride, the trip may, depending on conditions, be replaced by a dog-kart experience.
It’s another way to discover Nordic dogs and the world of mushing, even when there isn’t enough snow.
