For the experienced!

Inspired by canoeing, the canoe-raft is a small 2-person raft, sometimes also called a'hot-dog'. 

On the canoe-kayak championship courses on the Isère river in Bourg Saint Maurice you will learn new skills in stunning landscapes.

All descents are led by our experienced guides, who will introduce you to the thrilling joys of whitewater.  Having enjoyed river rafting, learn to confidently pilot your canoe-raft.

Before heading into the rapids our guides will first teach you in calmer waters!  Master paddling, river navigation techniques, canoe flipping, surfing, and of course, safety.

Participation conditions

• All participants must know how to swim at least 25m and be able to submerge their heads underwater
• Participants must have previous experience on rivers, and be confident and comfortable in the water

Organisation and safety

• The activity is supervised, under the responsibility of a guide from a state graduate
• Our sessions are organised by level to enable participants to choose a session best suited to individual abilities 
• The time slots are planned according to the releases of water from the upstream dams which regulate the water flow

Equipment

• We provide the wetsuit, neoprene footwear, a helmet and a life jacket
• Bring your swimsuit to wear under the wetsuit, and a towel

Insurance info and cancellation
