🟡 Balme (Magland) - The Most Family-Friendly
A fun introduction to canyoning featuring plenty of natural waterslides. From 6 years old.
Approach walk: 10 min - Total duration: 1h30
🟢 Barberine (Vallorcine) - The Most Accessible
The perfect canyon for a first experience, with abseils, jumps and optional escape routes. From 10 years old.
Approach walk: 20 min - Total duration: 3 hours (including 2 hours in the water)
🔵 Balme Full Canyon (Magland) - The Most Fun
A two-section canyon for even more adventure: the first part features abseils, jumps and natural waterslides with no escape routes, while the second follows the same fun section as the Family option. From 10 years old.
Approach walk: 10 min - Total duration: 3 hours (including 2 hours in the water)
🔴 La Belle au Bois (Megève) – The Most Challenging
A more challenging canyon for thrill-seekers, with a few possible escape routes. From 12 years old.

Drive through Vallorcine. After, you will cross a bridge over a river, then keep driving straight. At the sign for “BARBERINE”, take a sharp left turn. Park in the small car park on your right.

La Taverne du Mont d'Arbois
When you arrive in Megève from Chamonix, at the first roundabout turn left direction "Mont d'Arbois". 200m after the city sign of Mont d'Arbois, you will see the long car park on your right.

🏊♂️ Do I need to be able to swim to take part?
Yes, you need to be able to swim to take part in the canyoning activity, even if you're wearing a wetsuit and a life jacket.
🧗 Can I take part if I'm afraid of heights?
Yes, you can take part even if you're afraid of heights, but be aware that some passages can provoke this sensation.
🚫 Are jumps compulsory? Is it possible to bypass certain passages?
It depends on the canyon you choose
In Megève, the jumps cannot be bypassed, so it is essential to be comfortable with heights and to feel capable of completing the entire route.
Your guide will accompany you throughout the route and will advise you on the various options depending on the canyon and your ability level.
📷 Can I bring my GoPro or my phone?
Yes, as long as they are waterproof and well secured.
You use them at your own risk, and the guide is not responsible for any loss or damages.
🌧️ Is canyoning still available when it rains?
The Barberine canyon in Vallorcine, regulated by an EDF dam, can safely be used even in rainy weather.
For other canyons, it depends on the amount of rainfall and the water level in the canyon.
Our team will inform you if the activity is maintained or postponed.
