Classed as one of the most beautiful freshwater wrecks, the wreck of the France is a real underwater gem! Resting majestically on a 42-metre seabed, it is accessible to Level 2 divers and above - a must-see experience for divers eager for history and emotion.

A journey through time...

Launched in 1909, this sumptuous paddlewheel steamer was 47 metres long and could carry up to 700 passengers thanks to its 400 horsepower. After a busy life, she should have been demolished... but fate decided otherwise.

Transformed into a holiday home, the France sank mysteriously into the depths of the lake on 13 March 1971. Even today, its sinking remains unexplained... This mystery only adds to the magic of this timeless dive.
