Ice climbing in Val d'Isère
A frosty adventure not to be missed ❄️⛏
Ice climbing is reserved for the colder months and for those who are fit enough to enjoy a challenge.
An invitation to discover the raw beauty of nature and to be pushed to the limit.
First and foremost, it brings you face to face with an enchanting environment, where the landscape dons a sparkling white coat. Crystalline ice formations, sculpted by the elements, reveal spectacular tableaux that only ice adventurers are lucky enough to appreciate. The sensation of being in the heart of nature, enveloped by the silence of winter, is incomparable 🌲❄️
You will be supervised by a mountain guide, who will teach you all rope handling, crampon and ice axe use to ensure a safe experience ⛑
The activity lasts 4 hours in total and is available on Wednesday Thursday anf Friday (9am or 1.30 pm)
📍 Meeting point in Val d'Isère at La Daille: entrance to the first tunnel of La Daille towards Tignes (before the tunnel on the left).
⚠️ Access to the meeting point is not easy:
- Hotel shuttle or taxi: if you are staying in a hotel or chalet, you can ask to be dropped off at this location. No shuttle stops at this exact meeting point.
- On foot: the closest shuttle is the “La Daille” shuttle. You will then have to walk 10 minutes along the road.
- By car: you can park at the La Daille car park and then walk 10-15 minutes along the road. Alternatively, there may be a space available at the meeting point, but we cannot guarantee this.
