🔍Discover the downhill biking lessons offered by Evolution 2 Tignes. You will be supervised by a state-qualified mountain bike instructor. Do you want to get your first taste of downhill biking, regain your confidence on the bike or improve your technique? Everything is possible. The superbe Bike Park de Tignes & Val d'Isère offers a wide variety of terrain to progress on.
We offer a weekly course (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) or single sessions on Wednesdays and Sundays. We can also offer you a 2-hour fitness session on Saturday or Sunday.

• Improving balance at low speed (pedal/brake control)
Bike Setup & Mechanics
• Adjusting your MTB (cockpit setup, essential tools)
• Setting saddle height depending on terrain
• Preparing your backpack and tool kit

• Checking your bike and monitoring component wear
🔵 Pilote 2 (groupe lesson) | MTB downhill - Improvement level
Technique
• Mastering the neutral position with track stand
• Separating front and rear braking control
• Introduction to lateral bike movement
• More technical obstacle crossings at different speeds
• Flat cornering and controlled drifting
• First jumps with two-wheel landings
• Visual anticipation and riding berms
Bike Setup & Mechanics
• Daily care (cleaning, lubricating)
• Fixing a flat tire
• Repairing a broken chain
Safety & Navigation
• Awareness and respect for multi-use natural environments
• Tools and basic first aid knowledge
• Map reading (1:25,000 scale) and trail marking understanding
🔴 Pilote 3 (group lesson) | MTB downhill - Advanced level
Technique
• Combining advanced riding skills: bunny hop, wheelie over several meters, narrow and technical obstacle crossings
• Managing grip and body position on steep climbs and descents
• Jumping small tabletops
• Linking bermed turns smoothly
• Separating rider movement from bike movement
• Managing effort during longer rides

• Becoming mechanically independent (preparation, repairs, maintenance)

• Riding in more challenging terrain

Not sure if you’re ready for the beginner camp or if downhill MTB is right for you?
The Technical Check-Up is designed as a gentle introduction to downhill riding.
The session takes place at the bottom of the slopes, in a reassuring environment.
Goals:
• Build confidence
• Learn the fundamentals of full-suspension MTB (basic position, braking, balance, etc.)
After this session, you’ll be ready to move up to the beginner downhill camp and continue your progression 🚴♂️
