EMBLEMATIC SUMMIT OF THE CHAMONIX VALLEY

Do you want to start mountaineering on an accessible summit? The Aiguille du Tour is made for you! With its 3540m, it is one of the best suited peaks for a first mountaineering experience in the Mont Blanc massif.

It combines walking, glacier hiking, a night in a refuge and some low-tech climbing, perfect for familiarizing yourself with the high mountains on this versatile climb.

Follow your mountain guide, after a review of the equipment and the conditions, you will set off on an adventure in a calm and exotic setting.

  • Your program

Day 1: Ascent to Refuge Albert 1er at 2702m altitude and train on ice with crampons on the Tour glacier. Overnight at the Refuge.

Day 2: Ascent of the Trient glacier and ascent of the Aiguille du Tour (3544m), return to Chamonix.

This program can be modified according to the weather conditions, as well as the technical and physical aptitudes of the participants.

Pricing conditions

  • These rates include :

- A professional mountain guide during your journey
- All the safety equipment : ropes, snap hooks...  

  • These rates do not include :

- Lunch (picnic)
- Your personal belongings   
- The price of 1 half board night spent in a mountain refuge for you and your mountain guide
 

Your equipment

  • Equipment to be provided on your side:

- Technical equipment : 45 Litre backpack, mountaineering boots, crampons, walking poles, ice pick, climbing harness and a helmet (these items can be rented at our partner sport store : Sanglard)
- Clothing : hiking pants, winter jacket, thin fleece jacket, windproof jacket, gloves, balaclava / beanie, pair of tights, long sleeve T-shirt, underwear, socks and changing clothes...
- Additional equipment : Sunglasses, sunscreen, food and drinks, headlamp, sleeping bag, first-aid kit, toiletries kit, ski mask.

  • Equipment provided by the guide:

- Ropes and safety equipment.

Insurance and cancellation

  • Please consult our General Conditions of Sale to find out about our cancellation policy.
  • Insurance: Insurance is strongly recommended. There are 2 types of individual insurance to which you can subscribe when finalising your reservation (or in our offices).
    1. Cancellation:
    - This insurance covers you in the event of illness or accident preventing you from participating in your sporting activity (this must be certified by a doctor).
    - All COVID related causes are excluded.
    2. Assursport in case of an accident:
    - Assursport covers you for up to €25,000 for rescue costs in the event of a sporty activity accident.
    - No advance payment required for rescue services, including medical repatriation.
    - Sporty activity refunded up to the value of 400€
