🧭 GUIDING, SAFETY & ADAPTATION
The Haute Route takes place in glaciated high mountain terrain, within a demanding alpine environment. You are supervised by an Evolution 2 high mountain guide, specialised in ski touring and glacier travel.
Your guide will assess your level during the first stage, with a few practical tests. If a participant is considered not to have the required level, an easy return to Argentière is possible on Day 1.
The itinerary is provided as an indication only. Weather conditions, glacier conditions or the group’s level may require the guide to adapt the route at any time. Every decision is made with a constant focus on safety, consistency and the success of the traverse.
🎿 LOGISTICS & ORGANISATION
To keep backpacks as light as possible, lunches are purchased daily at the mountain huts. You only carry the essentials: snacks, energy supplements and personal equipment.
Choosing the right gear, being in good physical condition and having a strong team spirit are key elements to fully enjoy this adventure.
