THE "VALLEE BLANCHE" FROM "AIGUILLE DU MIDI"

The most legendary and majestic glacier hike in Chamonix allows you to cross the "Vallée Blanche" and "Géant" glacier between "l'Aiguille du Midi" and "Helbronner" to finally reach Italy.
Reaching an altitude of 3400 meters you will see an exceptional panorama of the most beautiful French and Italian summits. 

Required level : Good physical condition demanded. Careful, you will have to climb down the ridge of "Aiguille du Midi" which can be impressive if you are afraid of heights. You will however be roped up with a guide and another person.
Length : One day
Meeting point : In front of the "Vertical café" at the bottom of the "Aiguille du Midi" cable car.

Schedule : 
-Meet up at the bottom of the "Aiguille du Midi" cable care, you will then meet your mountain guide, small briefing then get into the cable car to arrive up the top at 3842 meters altitude.
-Climb down the snowy ridge equipped with crampons and roped up to reach the glacier
-Cross the "Vallée Blanche" and "Géant" glaciers
-Cross between the seracs, and climb up then on the Italian side up to "Helbronner" point.
-Incredible view, on the Italian side, of the "Cervin", the "Mont Rose", then return to "Aiguille du Midi" in the "Panoramic Mont Blanc" ski lift and return to Chamonix in the cable car.

THE "VALLEE BLANCHE" FROM HELBRONNER POINT / ITALY

After crossing through to Italy via the Mont Blanc Tunnel, take the "Skyway Monte Bianco" to rise up to "Helbronner" Point at a height of 3500 meters of altitude.
Admire the unobstructured view of the Italian side of "Mont Blanc", and also on other surrounding 4000 meters summits. Then set out, with your guide, for a glacier hike in the high mountains, between seracs and crevices, to reach the "Aiguille du Midi" in France.

Required level : This glacier hike is technically easier, and beginners are allowed, however, the altitude and the require good physical condition.You may feel a decrease in oxygen levels due to the altitude (shortness of breath, heavy legs, maybe headaches..)
Length : One day
Meeting point : Usually "Chamonix Sud" to then organize transport through to Italy.

Schedule : 
-Meet up at the bottom at "Chamonix Sud" bus station, you will then meet your mountain guide.
-Bus trip up to the Skyway in "Courmayeur" at the end of the "Mont Blanc" tunnel.     -Journey up in the Skyway to "Helbronner" Point.
-Roped up, walk along the glacier towards "Aiguille du Midi" at the heart of the mountains, between seracs and crevices. Many summits of over 4000 meters high will surround you.
-Walk up towards "Helbronner" to then come back down the Skyway and come back to Chamonix via the "Mont Blanc" tunnel.

 These rates do not include :
 -Your personal belongings
-Your round trip ticket fare for the "Aiguille du Midi" cable car (67 € per person) and the return ticket for the "Panoramic Mont Blanc" (32 € per person)

FROM "HELBRONNER" :

These rates include :
-A professional mountain guide during your journey
-All the safety equipment : ropes, snap hooks...
These rates do not include : 
-Your personal belongings
-Round trip transport ticket Chamonix - Courmayeur - Chamonix (22 € per person)

What to bring

NECESSARY EQUIPMENT : 
Technical equipment : 45 Litre backpack, crampons, walking pole, ice pick, mountaineering boots, climbing harness and a helmet (these items can be rented at our partner sport store : Sanglard)
Clothing : hiking pants, fleece jacket, windproof jacket, gloves...
Additional equipment : Sunglasses, sunscreen, food and drinks.

Cancellation conditions

-For all Pre-booked activities : 
• 72 hours prior : 50% of the total price refund
• 48 hours prior : No refund

Due to Covid, we have eased our cancellation conditions with a full refund up to 72 hours prior to the activity. In the event of a lock down or if the borders are closed, you will receive a full refund up to 24 hours prior to the activity. If you have contracted Covid, we will refund all your reserved activities upon presentation of a medical certificate.

Insurance

Except for the legal insurance in civil liability, our activities do not involve individual insurance. However, to be covered financially in the event of a injury or an accident (Evacuation, transport, repatriation...) you can subscribe to the Evolution 2 Assistance card, which covers you 100% on all Evolution 2 activities.
