Therefore, you will be coached by a high mountain guide during this fabulous adventure in the glaciers of the Mont-Blanc massif. Graduated and experimented since a long time, he will safely guide you during this unique adventure. More than that, he will share with you his knowledge and his passion for mountains. He will answer to your questions : summit’s names, altitudes, alpinism history, functioning of the glaciers … The mountain will no longer be a secret for you.

What is the required level ?

Good news! No prior experience walking with crampons is required to enjoy glacier hiking. At Evolution 2 Chamonix, we tailor the route to your fitness level.

We offer two breathtaking glacier experiences: La Mer de Glace and La Vallée Blanche.

For La Mer de Glace, you'll start by taking the Montenvers train (no effort required at the beginning 😉).
The hike is at an altitude of 1800 meters, with a manageable elevation gain. We recommend clients be comfortable walking 4-5 hours. It’s also a great spot to practice crampon techniques and try ice climbing!
The Vallée Blanche hike starts at the top of the Aiguille du Midi cable car at 3842 meters, offering stunning high-altitude glacier views. This route requires good endurance to fully appreciate the grandeur of the surroundings.
