You certainly know already that a minimum of emergency equipment, (such as the avalanche transceiver (DVA), snow shovel and probe), is essential for any off-piste action. But did you know that, in a glacier environment, more equipment is necessary such as : crampons, ropes, an ice ax, a harness, as well as equipment useful for carrying out a hauling system ( A lifting system based on multiplying your strength to be able to get someone out of a crevasse alone)? In case of emergency you will be able learn how to correctly use this new equipment.
