About the activity

FREESKID 2024 is back !

2 participants = 1 team, online registration per team!

Children aged 9 to 14 must register as a team with a partner in their own category!
In this way, they can be rewarded in both the individual and team rankings!

Competition date and venue :
Pointe Blanche sector, Massif de Balme, La Clusaz
Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. (weather option on the 14th)

Race format:
Secured freeride race with jumps (see compulsory equipment).

Each competitor in the same team will take off individually, one after the other, to maintain the spirit of cohesion.

Each competitor will be judged by a panel of young riders with experience of the European FJT and FWQ circuits.

At the end of the race, all riders will enjoy a full meal at the foot of the face.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place from 4:30 p.m. at the Candide Store, after a convivial and festive day to close the season, with friends and family!

Program

FREESKID : Freeride Backcountry Race
8 am	Registration for all at Race HQ (Balme parking lot, opposite TCB cash desk). Collection of race numbers and final signing of waivers.
9 am	Access to the start of the face via the TCB then the Col de Balme chairlift. Regroup at Col de Balme to access the race face in groups.
9:45 am	Reconnaissance of the face. First "U18" convoy from the pass.
10:30 am	General face race briefing (judges' tent)
11 am	Team race starts (odd-numbered Kids + even-numbered team members).
11:30 am	Refreshment stand opening
1 pm	Lunch opening
2 pm	End of FREESKID
2:15 pm	Freestyle Show Session with riders FJT and FWQ!
3:15 pm	End of Event
4:30 pm	Awards ceremony at Candide Store (ressort center)
