Anthony grew up in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, where the mountains aren’t just a backdrop — they’re a playground. It all started with skiing, then climbing came along naturally, and eventually canyoning became the obvious choice.

Working as a rope access technician in the off-season, he is at ease in vertical environments like few others. He is currently preparing for his mountain guide, caving and paragliding qualifications — in other words, Anthony never stops, whether in the water or out of it.

What drew him to canyoning? Firstly, the fun and playful aspect, the freedom of the sport, and its unique thrills. Then, whilst studying for his qualification, he discovered something unexpected: the joy of human connection. And today, what he loves most of all is seeing children having a brilliant time and asking for more 

• Anthony is truly attentive — and one experience sums him up perfectly. One day, during a safety briefing before the descent, a teenager didn’t seem to be following the instructions. Anthony quickly realised that the young man was hard of hearing… something his parents had failed to mention. He didn’t judge: he simply adapted on the spot to ensure the outing went as smoothly as possible for the whole group.

• For Anthony, knowing his group is fundamental — a canyon remains a natural environment that leaves no room for improvisation.
