What is the speed riding ?
Speedriding is a winter activity that combines skiing and paragliding to offer unique thrills. It uses a small wing that allows skiers to glide slightly above the snowy slopes while skiing. Speedriding is known for its extreme sensations, blending the speed of skiing with the freedom of flight. It requires advanced skiing skills as well as specific training for paragliding.

Speedriding is a relatively new sport that emerged in the early 2000s. The beginnings of speedriding are often attributed to pioneering enthusiasts of extreme sports, such as François Bon and Valéry Montant in France. They experimented with this unique fusion of skiing and paragliding, paving the way for a new aerial adventure. Over the years, the sport has gained popularity, attracting enthusiasts from around the world.
Today, speedriding is practiced in suitable mountainous areas, offering thrill-seekers a unique way to descend snowy slopes, with the goal being to interact with the mountain's contours interspersed with brief flying phases. Equipment has also evolved to meet the specific needs of this hybrid sport, with paragliding wings specially designed for speedriding.
