What's freeride and freestyle skiing
Freeride skiing and freestyle skiing are two alpine skiing disciplines that are distinguished by their styles and the types of terrain on which they are practiced.
Freeride Skiing: Involves skiing off-piste, on natural, unprepared terrain. The goal is to enjoy nature and fresh powder conditions, often in the mountains. This discipline requires a good understanding of the mountains and off-piste safety techniques, such as the use of avalanche rescue equipment.
Freestyle Skiing: Involves performing tricks and jumps in a more controlled environment, often in a snowpark. Freestyle skiers use ramps, rails, half-pipes, and kickers to execute aerial maneuvers, spins, and grinds.
