🟢 Beginners: Les Aiguillettes des Posettes
Located near the Le Tour ski area, Les Aiguillettes des Posettes provide an ideal first ski touring experience for beginners. The panoramic views over the Chamonix Valley and the Tour Glacier are breathtaking.

🟠 Intermediate: Crochues-Bérard Traverse
A classic Chamonix ski touring route, the Crochues-Bérard Traverse starts from La Flégère (accessible from Les Praz, 3 km from Chamonix). Take the Index lift and Floria ski tow before beginning the real ascent to Col des Aiguilles Crochues. The final section is steep and requires climbing on foot.
📏 Elevation gain: 500m (650m if via Brèche de Bérard instead of the col)
🗻 Terrain type: Alpine, crampons required
⛷️ Descent: The Col du Bérard descent is stunning in all conditions. Ski down the Vallon de Bérard, a popular summer hiking route. Glide through forest sections, cross to the right bank of the stream when possible, and finish at Le Buet village. From there, hitchhike or take a train back to Les Praz to return to the La Flégère parking lot.
🟠 Intermediate: Col des Dards
Located above Lac Blanc in La Flégère, Col des Dards is a fantastic tour for intermediate skiers. The route starts with the Flégère cable car before following the marked pistes. Expect stunning views of Mont Blanc and the Aiguilles de Chamonix, plus a unique crossing of the frozen Lac Blanc.

⛷️ Descent: The legendary left bank descent of the Tour Glacier, finishing at Le Tour village, marks the grand finale of this tour.
🟠 Intermediate: Top of Les Grands Montets
A true alpine glacier adventure, this route is best for strong intermediate skiers. Starting from the Bochard lift at Les Grands Montets, you’ll pass through the Col des Rachasses (nearly 3,000m), traverse the Argentière Glacier, and finish at Col du Passon.

🔴 Expert/Advanced: Col du Passon
A demanding glacier itinerary for experienced ski tourers. The route begins from the Bochard lift at Les Grands Montets, leading through the Col des Rachasses (~3,000m), across the Argentière Glacier, and up to Col du Passon.

📉 Total descent: Over 2,200m
⛷️ Descent: The legendary left bank descent of the Tour Glacier, passing Refuge Albert 1er and finishing at Le Tour village.
