This summer in Chamonix, a new activity is catching the eye of curious adventurers and lovers of unusual thrills: the Skwheel. A fun, electric, and totally unique experience!
Designed to recreate the sensations of skiing even in the middle of summer, this all-terrain, four-wheel-drive machine is already winning over fans of gliding and adrenaline.

🎙️ We interviewed a participant just after their session to get some fresh feedback. Handling, safety, sensations, nothing was left out... and spoiler: it really makes you want to try it for yourself!
✅ So, how was your Skwheel session?
Honestly, super cool! I came with my kids and found the machine really stable.
You just have to go for it, don’t overthink it. Once you’re on, it’s so much fun!
✅ Did it take long to get the hang of it?
Not really, around 10 minutes.
The more you ride, the more confident you feel. It’s quick to pick up.
✅ Are the turns really like skiing?
Yes! You turn with your outside foot, look in the direction you want to go, and the machine naturally follows.
The Skwheel reacts to your body weight, it’s super intuitive and surprisingly responsive.
✅ What about the controls? Are they tricky?
Not at all. There's a thumbwheel: push up to accelerate, down to brake.
There are 4 speed levels, allowing you to go up to 25 km/h and gradually adjust power sensitivity, acceleration, and braking.
You just need to be gentle with it to avoid jerky movements.
✅ Is it stable? Did you feel safe?
Totally stable.
You might feel a few jolts at the beginning while figuring out your center of gravity, but overall, balance is easy to manage.
There’s even a system that helps correct your position if you lean too far back.
✅ Do you get real skiing sensations?
Definitely. The posture, knee flexion, weight transfer… it’s all there.
Even when braking, your body naturally falls into a kind of snowplow stance. It feels surprisingly similar.
✅ One last word?
It’s original, fun, and feels just like skiing in winter.

👉 The Skwheel is accessible from age 14, guided by professionals, on a 12 km loop through the stunning setting of the Bois du Bouchet in Chamonix.
Each session lasts 2 hours and includes a briefing, intro, and a guided ride. Small group format: 2 to 4 people (5 on request).
