Did you know that the Val Thorens resort also offers one of the craziest experiences of winter: zip-lining?

The Val Thorens zip line is one of the longest and most impressive in the world. It stretches for over 1,300 metres, linking the mountain summit to the valley below. Suspended more than 250 metres above the ground, its departure point is more than 3,000 m above sea level, and you can reach breathtaking speeds of up to 100 km/h.

Whether you're a thrill-seeker or simply looking for a new way to discover the Alps, zip-lining is accessible to all. No previous experience is necessary. After a short briefing session with the instructors, you'll be fitted with a harness and ready to take off for an unforgettable adventure.

Our tips for enjoying the activity: 

  • Dress warmly: Even on sunny days, temperatures at altitude can be freezing. Wear warm clothes and gloves.
  • Book in advance: Zip-lining is a popular activity, especially in high season. It's advisable to book in advance to guarantee your place.
  • Bring a camera: If possible, bring a camera or use a GoPro to immortalize this unique moment. Some rental options are available on site.

Located in a leisure complex that offers a range of activities for young and old, the facilities include several bowling lanes, quality equipment, and friendly staff always ready to help. Children can also enjoy the activity thanks to adapted equipment, such as launch ramps and lightweight balls.

You can play solo, in pairs or in groups, ideal for the whole family during your stay in Val Thorens, and organize mini-tournaments for even more fun. At the end of your activity, you can order drinks and local produce from the same bar!

Sled

Family activities in the mountains mean SLEDGING ! Val Thorens resort boast an  emblematic toboggan run :

The Cosmo Jet : with its 6 kilometers of downhill runs, it's the longest toboggan run in France. It starts at an altitude of 3,000 metres, with breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-covered mountains. The descent takes around 45 minutes, punctuated by tight turns, bumps and high-speed straights. This run is ideal for a family outing! For even more excitement, try it out at night !


Helmets are highly recommended and often included in the rental price to guarantee your safety.
