Philou

Originally from Grenoble, I grew up with skis on my feet — first in the Nordic world, then on a snowboard, before finally finding my balance in downhill skiing.

I have now been teaching for over thirty years, during which time my passion for teaching has only grown. I teach with the same enthusiasm, curiosity and desire to pass on my knowledge.

I have been teaching in La Rosière since the winter of 2000, where I accompany skiers of all levels, in both private and group lessons. My teaching style is fun and tailored to each individual: your expectations, your limits, your personality.

What do I love most of all? Seeing my students gain confidence, overcome their fears and discover that unique feeling of freedom that only skiing can offer.

In the summer, I swap my skis for my tools and head to the Caribbean, where I work as a carpenter and set builder for television and film, notably for the series Death in Paradise. It's another way of creating, shaping and drawing inspiration from the world around me.
