How is the degree organised ?

How is the degree organised ?

The lessons leading to the DE in skiing - national alpine ski instructor, include a part common to all mountain sports professions (FGCMEEESM) and an important part specific to skiing.

This is focused on preparing for the job of ski instructor and includes lessons that mainly relate to the acquisition of technical skills, the development of teaching skills, the approach to activities on snow in all its forms, supervision of off-piste skiing outside the glacier zone and risk management in snowy mountain environments.

The graduation path includes 5 key stages:

>> The Access Technical Test: timed slalom descent

>> The Preparatory Cycle: training, series of tests and interview

>> The Technical Event (or Eurotest): timed alpine skiing giant slalom

>> The First Cycle: training and set of tests

>> The Second Cycle: training and set of tests

For more information, refer to the ENSA website.

Initial training: preparation for the Technical Test and preparatory cycle

Initial training: preparation for the Technical Test and preparatory cycle

The State Alpine Skiing Diploma is recognized as one of the most demanding in the world. This reputation is explained by the high level of technical requirement and physical aptitude required from the first events, and in particular that of the technical test. The Pro Outdoor Academy supports you in the preparation of this diploma of excellence.

Our Technical Test Preparation & Preparatory Cycle course allows you to acquire the essential fundamentals for passing the technical test, the entrance test for the DE in Alpine Skiing. We also support you in preparing for the next step: the preparatory cycle.

Once these two steps have been validated with ENSA, you have the status of trainee instructor and can start teaching in our schools.

Advanced training : Eurotest and Bank Slalom

Advanced training : Eurotest and Bank Slalom

The Pro Outdoor Academy offers two advanced training courses for trainee instructors aspiring to obtain the DE in Alpine Skiing.

The Preparation for the Technical Test, formerly the Eurotest, accompanies trainee instructors in their preparation for the Technical Test of the monitor. The Bank Slalom training, on the other hand, trains for the timed technical demonstration of the snowboarding activity.

These weekly training sessions are an opportunity to refine your technical skills over several weeks in the pre-season.
