As a certified high mountain guide, I place safety and knowledge-sharing at the heart of my work. For me, ski touring is far more than a sport: it is a true school of the mountains, where every outing is an opportunity to learn how to move in winter terrain in an autonomous, responsible way, with a clear awareness of risks.
I pay particular attention to analysing conditions (snow, weather and terrain), group management and decision-making. On every outing, I take the time to explain my choices: snowpack assessment, route selection, track setting, effort management, and uphill and downhill techniques. The use of safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe) and the correct behaviour to adopt in case of an incident are an integral part of the learning process.
I guide you whatever your level, from beginner to advanced, with a progressive approach adapted to each individual. My goal is to help you fully enjoy ski touring while developing your skills, autonomy and ability to move safely in the winter mountain environment.
Passionate about wide open spaces, I have been practising mountaineering and climbing for more than forty-five years. My journey in the mountains began very early, well before my teenage years, through a gradual and deeply passionate immersion in the different high-altitude environments. This long-built experience now allows me to approach the mountains with perspective, precision and humility.
Winter activities were a foundational step in my path. I started with cross-country skiing, biathlon and mountaineering, then gradually deepened my practice through ski touring and ice climbing—demanding disciplines that teach rigour, commitment and risk management.
My guide training introduced me to canyoning, an environment where water and rock come together through jumps, slides and abseils in a wild, natural setting—an activity I practise regularly with ever-renewed pleasure.
After many years training alpine troops, gendarmes and mountain rescue firefighters, while also working myself as a rescuer, I have retained an undiminished pleasure in sharing, explaining and passing on my knowledge… always with safety as a priority.
It will be my great pleasure to share my “home” with you for a few hours, a day or longer, and to give you access to my high-altitude gardens.
